Jodi No. 1 2001 – Review:-

Jodi No.1 is a comedy film directed by David Dhawan. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Anupam Kher, Twinkle Khanna, Monica Bedi, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Mukesh Rishi, Shakti Kapoor, Late Ajit Vachani, Ashok Saraf, Anil Dhawan, Avtar Gill, Supriya Karnik, Aashif Sheikh and Sanjay Narvekar. Two small-time crooks and are on the run from a local goon. Their next target is a wealthy businessman who they intend to con for his riches.This was the time when the combo of David Dhawan and Govinda was spreading it’s magic all over India and the Indian viewers were madly in love of the their films and were always excited for their next film. Same is the case with Jodi No.1.The film can easily be classified as a brainless and senseless laughing riot film which will keep a big smile on your face while providing the regular dose of laughter to make you laugh loud. The Chemistry between the lead pair of Sanjay Dutt and Govinda is unparalleled. They had the big responsibility of running the entire film on their shoulders and they didn’t even minutely disappoint.The plot of the film is average but the execution is hilariously superb, the comedy timing in the film is something to vouch for. The screenplay of the film is gripping and will keep you glued to the film the only hindrance in the film was the untimely songs which either could’ve been avoided or placed little strategically. It seems that few of the scenes were unnecessarily created just to accommodate the songs.Acting in the film is superb and both the lead actors were just amazing and they had got good support from Anupam Kher, Sanjay Narvekar and Shakti Kapoor in comic department. Ashok Saraf is a great talent and should’ve been utilized more. Aashif Sheikh comes as a surprise package. The lead actress didn’t had much to do and they didn’t did anything. Climax of the film is good but could’ve been a little more elaborate but will never disappoints. A must watch brainless laughter riot.
